Root Canal Therapy
Let’s Get to the Root of It

First, your dentist will gently numb the area around the affected tooth with local anesthetic to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure.
Next, a small opening is made in the tooth to access the pulp, the soft tissue inside. Using specialized instruments, your dentist carefully removes the infected pulp and cleans the inside of the tooth to eliminate bacteria.
Once the root canals are cleaned and shaped, they are filled with a rubber like material to help prevent further infection. The tooth is then sealed with a filling to protect it from bacteria.
Keep That Tooth Shining
Finishing the root canal with a crown is the most effective way to protect the tooth from breaking in the future. Once your root canal and crown are complete, you’ll be on your way to recovery with your natural tooth ready to keep doing what it does best.
Sometimes, saving your natural tooth is the brightest option.
